once I got it back however, the keys all worked, and the issue of keys getting really hot had disappeared. I was forced to use the free accidental damage claim for my laptop in order for them to service it. unfortunately for me, my removal of the key to diagnose the issue resulted in them not wanting to replace the keyboard under warranty. My warranty was still good, so I sent my laptop in to MSI. I took off the key (foolishly, perhaps) and discovered that overheating had caused the glue that attached the silicone cup for the key to become 'unglued'. If resetting your keyboard doesn't fix the issue, reach out to Customer Support for further assistance.I had a similar thing happen to my GE73 Raider RGB 8RE. While holding down the ESC key, turn on your keyboard.With the keyboard turned off, hold down the ESC key.If you have a wireless keyboard, the steps for resetting it will vary slightly from a wired keyboard.
